Welcome to the Pond Class…specifically the TURTLES! My name is Kim Boyd, and I am so happy to be your child’s teacher on Tuesday and Thursday with Ms. Christine. Three year olds are a lot of fun, and they grow so much in a preschool year. I love to see the social, emotional, and academic growth of the littles. I’m a NC girl, and I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Appalachian State. I taught K-3 for 10 years in several counties as part of the NC Teaching Fellows Program. I married my high school sweetheart; we moved to Apex in 1998, where I taught first grade at Olive Chapel until our second child was born in 2000. I stayed home with our children for several years, then found myself teaching preschool! I taught at Salem Baptist for 12 years. I’ve been married for 27 years and have two successful children and a black lab, Jake(12). Grayson is 23 and is in the US Army Old Guard stationed in DC. Our daughter Kenzie is 21 and is a senior at Elon University. I’m so excited to get to know your little one and help him/her GROW.
